Research interests
I am curious about the basic scientific questions related to the field of life sciences and try to answer/uncover them with cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology techniques. Since becoming a scientific researcher in 2009, my works include immunity, microbiology, embryonic development, genetic engineering, cancer, et al. Recent years, my research focuses on the immune response in macrophages during infection. I mainly study the interaction between pathogenic microorganisms and host, and identify the pathogenic/host factors closely related to the pathogenesis.
As a researcher, I have published more than 40 journal articles in internationally recognized top tier journals as first author, co-author and corresponding author. Some of the journals where I have published in are Cell Host & Microbe (WoS Q1, IF=31.32), Nature Microbiology (WoS Q1, IF=30.96), Proc. Natl Acad. Sci. USA (WoS Q1, IF=12.78), Genome Biology (WoS Q1, IF=17.91), EMBO Reports (WoS Q1, IF= 9.07), PLoS Pathogens (WoS Q1, IF= 7.46), and mBio (WoS Q1, IF= 7.79).
